ራያ ዩኒቨርስቲ በሃገረ ቱርክ ኢሳታንቡል ከተማ እየካሄደ በሚገኘው 11ኛው አለምአቀፍ የተማሪዎች ኮንፈረንስ እየተሳተፈ የሚገኝ ሲሆን የዩኒቨርሲቲያችን ፕሬዚዳንት ፕሮፌሰር ታደሰ ደጀኔ፣ የአካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ም/ፕሬዚደንት ነጋ ዓፈራ (ዶ/ር) እና የዩኒቨርሲቲያችን የICT ስራ አስፈፃሚ የሆኑት መምህር ቢኒያም ወ/ገብሪኤል ዩኒቨርሲቲያችንን በመወከል እየተሳተፉ ይገኛሉ።
የዩኒቨርሲቲያችን ፕሬዚደንት ፕሮፌሰር ታደሰ ደጀኔ በኮንፈረንሱ ለተገኙ ታዳሚዎች ባሰሙት ንግግር ኢትዮጵያ ዘላቂ ልማትን ለማጎልበት፣ የአስተዳደር፣ እንዲሁም ማህበረ-ኢኮኖሚያዊ ጉዳዮችን ለማሻሻል ብዙ እንቅስቃሴ እያደረገች እንደምትገኝና ያንን ለማሳካት ወሳኝ የሆነውን የሰው ኃይል ልማት ላይ ደግሞ ልዩ ትኩረት ተሰጥቶ እየተሰራበት እንዳለ አብራርተዋል። በኮንፈረንሱ በርካታ ኢትዮጵያውያን መገኘታቸው የዚህ የሰው ኃይል ልማት ለማጎልበት ያለውን ቁርጠኝነት አንዱ ማሳያ መሆኑን ያወሱት ፕሮፌሰር ታደሰ፣ ይሄም ቁልፍ ዘርፎች ለማዘመን፣ ተቋማትን ለማጠናከር፣ እንዲሁም ሁሉን-አቀፍ እድገትን ለማቀላጠፍ የማይተካ ሚና እንዳለው ያላቸውን እምነት ገልፀዋል።
ፕሮፌሰር ታደሰ አክለውም አለም- አቀፍ ተማሪዎች ከአገራቸው ርቀው ሲማሩ የአገር-ቤት ናፍቆት፣ ከፍተኛ ወጪ፣ እንዲሁም የቋንቋና የባህል እንቅፋቶች ሊገጥማቸው እንደሚችሉ በማንሳት ከሁኔታዎች ጋር እራሳቸውን በማስተካከልና በሁሉም አጋጣሚዎች ጠንክረው ከሰሩ ግን በሁሉም ስኬታማ ሊሆኑ እንደምችሉ ገልፀዋል። ፕሮፌሰር በገለፃቸው፤ የአለም አገሮች በንግድ፣ በኢኮኖሚ፣ በቴክኖሎጂ፣ እንዲሁም በሌሎች ዘርፈ – ብዙ ጉዳዮች እንደ አንድ ተሳስረው በሚሰሩበት በዚሁ ወቅት አለም አቀፍ ተማሪዎችም በተመሳሳይ የመጡበትን ሀገር ብቻ ሳይሆን አለምን በሙሉ የሚያይ ራእይና ሁሉንም ህዝቦች የሚያገለግል እውቀትና ፍላጎት ሊኖራቸው እንደሚገባም አብራርተዋል።
ዩኒቨርሲቲያችንን ወክለው በኮንፈረንሱ እየተሳተፋ ያሉ የዩኒቨርሲቲያችን ፕሬዚደንት ፕሮፌሰር ታደሰ ደጀኔ፤ የአካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ም/ፕሬዚደንት ነጋ ዓፈራና መምህር ቢንያም ከኮንፈረንሱ ጎን ለጎን ከተለያዩ የቱርክ ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ጋር በጋራ ለመስራት በሚያስችሉ ዘርፎች ዙርያ ውይይቶች እያደረጉ ይገኛል።

‎Raya University, November 23, 2025 – Representing Raya University, Professor Tadesse Dejenie, RU’s President, Nega Afera (Ph.D), Vice President for Academic Affairs and Mr. Biniam Weldegabriel, the Executive Director of ICT, are participating in the 11th International Students’ Conference being held in Istanbul, Turkey.

‎In his speech delivered to participants from around the world, Professor Tadesse stated that Ethiopia is currently undergoing major transformations aimed at fostering sustainable development, improving good governance, and strengthening social and economic stability.
‎
‎Professor Tadesse further highlighted that in recent years the country has been implementing continuous reforms to modernize key sectors, strengthen institutions, and support overall development, with particular emphasis on human resource development. He added that the strong presence of Ethiopian students at this international student platform is a clear reflection of this progress.
‎
‎The President also spoke about the challenges faced by international students; such as homesickness, high living expenses, cultural barriers, and unmet material and psychological needs; and advised them that perseverance, hard work, striving for success, and adapting to any situation they encounter are essential qualities in all aspects of their life.
‎
‎In conclusion, the President encouraged international students not only to think about serving their home country, but to adopt a global vision, work diligently, think beyond personal interests, and understand the path to success. He noted that as countries around the world increasingly collaborate in trade, economics, technology, and other fields, students must also develop a worldview that sees the world as interconnected, and pursue knowledge and aspirations that benefit all humanity.

‎In line with the conference, Professor Tadesse Dejenie, Nega Afera (Ph.D), and Mr. Biniam Weldegabriel, representing Raya University, also held discussions with several Turkish universities on potential areas of collaboration to fortify the academic, research, technology transfer and community engagement endeavors.
