October 16, 2025 Raya University, has taken a significant step in advancing its internationalization efforts by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wekerle International University (WIU) of Budapest, Hungary, and INTI International University and College of Malaysia. The signing ceremony, held today at RU’s Senate Hall, was in a hybrid format, with the WIU and INTI representatives attending both in Person and via Video Conference.
During the signing of the MoU, Prof. Tadesse Dejenie, President of Raya University, expressed his strong commitment and willingness to work in collaboration with Wekerle and INTI International Universities in various areas, including staff mobility, joint research initiatives, capacity building, and cross-cultural learning.
Representatives from both Wekerle International University and INTI International University and College on their part conveyed their keen interest to working closely with Raya University. They also underscored their commitment to building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with Raya University grounded in academic integrity and shared goals.
The terms and areas of cooperation of the MoU, emphasizes and includes, student mobility and visiting scholar programs, collaborative academic programs and curriculum development, joint research projects and scholarly publications, exchange of academic materials and information, organization and participation in joint courses, and seminars, trainings, conferences, and symposiums.
This MoU marks a major milestone for Raya University as it endeavors to expand its international presence and foster global academic networks and demand-driven research engagements.
