About the Department
Established in September 2020 as a founding department within Raya University’s College of Health Sciences (CMHS), the Department of Medical Laboratory Science is committed to training skilled professionals who address national and global healthcare needs. As of April 2025, we have 81 undergraduate students (62 male, 19 female) enrolled in our programs.
Academic Program
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Sciences
A four-year undergraduate program designed to equip students with:
- Theoretical knowledge in clinical biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, and molecular diagnostics.
- Practical expertise in advanced laboratory techniques (PCR, ELISA, biosafety protocols).
- Ethical foundations for modern laboratory practice.
