Awareness Creation on Innovation, Incubation, Entrepreneurship and Networking was Given to the Students of the University

In effort to enhance in technology-based business incubator models and embrace innovative approaches through E-Learning, RU’s Innovation Incubation Center in collaboration with ICE Addis, and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology held an awareness creation in Innovation Incubation, Entrepreneurship and Networking to its Graduate, Boarding School and Science Shared Students on April 30, 2025 at RU’s Smart Room.
The objective of the training is to create awareness to the students and motivate them to be business incubators and entrepreneurs, and promote new technology (knowledge) innovation-based startups that create jobs, accelerate wealth and business in alignment with national priorities.
Mr. Bereket Yacob, ICE Addiss, coordinator presented on the foundation overview, the core activities, endeavors and contributions of ICE Addis in networking, facilitating technological innovations and accelerating business startups in collaboration with various stakeholders to activate youth to gain economic empowerment.
Mr. Hintsa Gebregiorgis (Assis. Prof.), the Delegate of the Academic, Research, Community Engagement, Technology Transfer and University-Industry Linkage Vice President of RU, in his opening speech strongly advised the students to relentlessly work in science and technology and envision to be business incubators entrepreneurs and developers by altering their ideas in to business.
Mr. Selomon Tadese, General Manager and co-founder at Selomon and Meseret Metalwork partnership, shared his and his company’s best experiences and the ups and downs he passed to the students.
Mr. Berihun Hadis, RU’s Innovation Incubation Center Coordinator, delivered training on Verifying to become a Data Logistics Manager (DLM).
Mr. Berhu in his presentation stated that his office is relentlessly working with various stakeholders in innovation incubation through online programs to make the students beneficiary by altering their innovative ideas in to business in online programs.
Mr. Gebremedhin Gebregiorgis, RU’s Technology Transfer and University-Industry Linkage(UILTT) Delegate, in his closing remark, expressed the indispensable role of the traning in fostering the creation of strong networks and stimulating entrepreneurship by offering practical support and mentoring opportunities.
